Anna Driftmier is a scenographer and production designer whose work extends across the US and Europe. She actively collaborates with a wide range of artists to produce visually powerful, genre-breaking new and revived pieces of work.
She has worked alongside many esteemed arts organisations and venues including the Barbican Centre, Columbia University, Playwrights Horizons, Central Saint Martins, Mount Holyoke College, and Dash Arts. She also produces designs across the Off-Broadway, Off-West End, and New York and London Fringe stages.
As of Spring 2018 Anna is also a guest lecturer at Mount Holyoke College where she lectures in Site-Specific Design and Performance Making.
As an assistant she has worked with such companies and venues as Signature Theatre, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Ensemble for the Romantic Century, The Whitney Museum of American Art, Punchdrunk, Trafalgar Studios 2, Southwark Playhouse, and Theatre503.
With professional experience in both design and theatre production, Anna has the skills to both oversee a project’s production as well as accomplish its construction and scenic painting.
Anna completed the MA in Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins. She received a Diploma in Technical Theatre at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in Classics and Theatre. While there she received the Margarat Davis Stitt Award for Excellence in Theatre.
